I have a question Jim....and everyone else too.
What would the American public be satisfied with for closure?? Do you think that handing over Ben Laden would be enough?? It just seems that everyone wants blood, they want to hurt the attacker and everyone close to him. Even if they handed him over...I really don't think that the majority of people would be satisfied untill there was extensive bloodshed.

Just a thought.

Don't get me wrong tho...I think that whoever is responsible for this deserves death...and a painfull one at that.

All I was hoping was that they thought things out and planned well when they decided to move forward. I never said anything about not attacking anyone. You noticed we got the ok from everyone so far, especially the nations in the region? That's mostly what I was hoping for. Say we pissed off 4-5 countries in that area by immediately going into action, then what? Sure, I agree the bastards deserve death but do we really want to drag our ceiling down on ourselves? Do you realize some of the nations near there have short range nukes? Can't hit us but sure as hell can hit our 'allys' and then what?

Btw, our government isn't always right on these important moves and we sometimes still pay for the mistakes they've made.

I think many of you think put words in my mouth in your heads when I said we need to think things through before taking action.

But whatever...there's enough BS I'm shaking my head over. People getting angry and just want revenge without thinking things through. That doesn no good. Look at the people being attacked in the US. There's now 3 confirmed shootings over this BS (at least that I've seen on the news). The sad part that these hate crimes killed two Indians and one Arab who's not even Muslim.

Had to add more to the above since I missed part of what JRCivic said. The Muslims who live here are SCARED from what I have seen. ALSO, they can't understand what happened as much as others can because they weren't at the site of these events. I even have trouble getting weird over it because it didn't hit my area. I'm more fearful of meeting work deadlines that what happened at times. I'll admit it but does this give us reason to f' with local Arabs? That's f'ing rediculous and VERY racist. I'm not saying we might not have Terrorists amoung us that may be Arab but what do you want to do? Round them up like we did the Japanese? If we ever did that, I'd sooner leave this hipocrit of a country. Would rounding them up stop the Timmothy Mcvay (spelling?) Terrorists?

Like I said, think before acting. The government is doing it and I'm a happy camper so please, get off my back already on that. I never expected some of the countries to agree to work with us and that made the ability to do what we need done much easier (i.e. force the extremists out of the country).

I think we all agree that something needs to be done and that people will die (in mass to make the US public happy, even if it's the wrong peeople). I also think we agree that we need to assassinate these Terrorist leaders and remove their financing in some way or another.

First off, my question was NOT directed as an attack on you Burnt...sorry if it sounded like that.

Honestly I COMPLETELY agree with what you just said, I think that whatever the US does they need to be very carefull about consequences (ie...killing terrorists just pisses the remaining ones off-BUT you gotta do what you gotta do). And also I am NOT a fan of WW3 coming about because of this. I would think it wise to send a small strike team in and take the MF'ers out, instead of an entire nation.
Also I think that anyone that starts KILLING people vigilante style in this country just cause they LOOK different is a COMPLETE retard and needs to be locked up in jail. People to stupid to know the difference between arab muslims and hindu indians should NOT be going around killing everyone that has dark skin and talks like habib from the Simpsons. Let the goverment do its job and protect the public...the best it can.
